Devas

The name denotes "heavenly, divine, anything of excellence".
In the earliest Vedic literature, all benevolent supernatural beings are referred to as Deva-Asuras.
They are also referred to as Suras and contrasted with their equally powerful but malevolent half-brothers, referred to as the Asuras.

Astras

An Astra is a supernatural weapon, presided over by a specific deity and imbued with spiritual and occult powers that caused its effect or impact.
To summon or use an astra required use of a specific incantation or invocation. The deity invoked would then endow the weapon with supernatural powers, making it impossible to counter through regular means.

Asuras

Asuras are a class of beings or power-seeking clans related to the more benevolent Devas.
Described as powerful superhuman demigods with good or bad qualities, the asuras battle constantly with the devas.
